25 February 2007 Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space MuseumColorado QCWA Chapter 58 is working with the museum to create a working Amateur Radio station in in their Radio, Electronic, and Avionic exhibit. Wings Over the Rockies is the Official Air and Space Museum of the State of Colorado. It was opened in 1994 in the historic Hanger No. 1 at the former Lowry Air Force Base. It has an extensive collection and archive, including a radio room and a full-sized space station module (perfect for the working OSCAR/Space Station/Shuttle radio exhibit station). Volunteers are needed to help assemble, operate, and show a working Ham station to museum visitors and patrons. Check the link above then call KB6CC at (303) 459-4060 for details.
